The IT Minor is a hands-on program designed to complement your major so that you are the candidate of choice in a job interview! Each semester has technical, business concepts and soft skills components. Soft skills may be an unfamiliar concept but you practice them every day. This program is for working professionals to increase your value in today's business market. This hands-on program will help you manage information, provide innovative solutions to problems as well as help your company compete. You'll learn the gateway technologies from Microsoft including data management, spreadsheet applications, graphical presentations, web design, business concepts and communication. (View Details)
Each summer 25 teachers from the Little Rock School District participate in UALR's Information Technology Cyber Teacher Program. The six-week, 12 credit IT course prepares "teacher leaders" to use technology in the classroom and to be a resource in their respective schools. Each fall, these teachers return to the classroom equipped with the IT skills necessary to be a 21st century teacher. (View Details)
