Master of Science in Computer Science
The Master of Science in computer science program at UALR reflects current trends in the computing discipline and provides students with a solid theoretical and practical foundation for careers in computing and/or advanced graduate studies. The curriculum centers on a core of courses covering major traditional areas of computer science: software engineering, operating systems, computer architecture, telecommunications / networking, databases, and graphics. It also allows students flexibility in acquiring in-depth knowledge of important areas of specialization through the selection of electives. Students may also elect one of three options (thesis, project, comprehensive exam) for satisfying the requirements for the master’s degree. The program is accessible to both day and evening students, and lends itself to both full and part-time study. Please visit the program’s web site at http://cpsc.ualr.edu/dreq.htm#Master for more information.
