Applied Science

Just another WordPress weblog

Very few students thinking of a graduate degree to help further their careers continue that thought to include how and when to begin their job search. Our university has a Career Counseling and Planning Services department specifically designed to aid students who are about to graduate (or who are recent graduates). Students in Applied Science are encouraged to contact CCPS three months prior to graduation. CCPS can help you prepare your resume, work on your interview skills, and alert you to potential jobs.

Many of our alumni have gone on to work in industrial and academic positions. They provide excellent contacts for placing new graduates into available positions. Your major professor will assist you in this area. Remember, it is best to plan ahead and be prepared before you graduate!

There are also excellent job placement services, located in Little Rock, which serve regional and/or national areas. Posting your resume with these services is always a good idea. The more exposure your resume receives, the better your chances for an interview.
