Our Department has a variety of resources to support research projects. We are privileged to have access to a professional research fabrication shop available for the construction of specialty parts / enclosures / etc. for those situations when you just can’t buy “off the shelf.” We also have access to an excellent support staff thanks to the Graduate Institute of Technology.
Faculty members maintain their own personal/laboratory pages. Here is a listing of current links to those pages:
- UALR Robotics Laboratory - Dr. Gary Anderson
- MEMS Research - Dr. Abhijhit Bhattacharyya
- Hudson Home Page , Hybrid Rocket Motor Facility , Graduate Institute of Technology - Dr. Keith Hudson
- Dr. Al-Shukri Home Page - Dr. Haydar Al-Shukri
- Thompson Laboratory - Dr. Gary Thompson
- Wright Research Group Home Page - Dr. Andrew Wright
There is a host of major instrumentation available to graduate students once they have undergone sufficient training to operate the instruments themselves (or with supervision). Here is the list (some equipment is used in more than one research area):
Applied Biosciences
DNA Sequencer
Applied Chemistry
Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer
Scanning Electron Microscope
FTIR Spectrometers (2)
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometers, 60MHz (used for DNP research), 200MHz and 300MHz (GN300 is solid state capable, off campus @ hourly rate)
Gas Chromatographs (2)
